Dr Maryam Mirza, Durham University

Dr Maryam Mirza joined Durham University as Assistant Professor in World Literatures in English in September 2018. She previously held an Alexander von Humboldt Postdoctoral Fellowship (2018) at the University of Bonn, and a BeIPD-COFUND Postdoctoral Fellowship (2015-2017) at the University of Liege. She was also the recipient of a Charles Wallace Pakistan Trust Visiting Fellowship (2015) which was held at Newcastle University. She has taught at several universities and colleges in Pakistan, including Kinnaird College for Women and the National College of Arts, Lahore.

Dr Anna Bull, the University of Portsmouth

Dr Anna Bull is a senior lecturer in sociology at the University of Portsmouth and a founding member of The 1752 Group. Her research focuses on gender and class inequalities in music education and higher education. She led on work with the National Union of Students on behalf of The 1752 Group in producing the report ‘Power in the Academy: staff sexual misconduct in UK higher education’ in April 2018. She is lead author on the report produced by The 1752 Group ‘Silencing Students: Institutional responses to staff sexual misconduct in UK higher education’, published in September 2018.
